We are partnering with a financial services organisation to hire a Procurement Operations Data Analyst. This is a global role with a strong regional presence, designed for someone who enjoys working across procurement operations, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
The focus of this position is operational excellence rather than category sourcing or supplier buying. We are looking for a procuremet professional who wants to apply a data mindset to their role. You will work with extensive procurement data sets to identify patterns, expose inefficiencies, and drive measurable improvements. The role will report to a global procurement lead.
This role requires a balance of technical capability and influence. You will need to turn your own analysis and process into compelling insight, and present recommendations with the credibility to challenge, influence, and secure alignment from senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Work hands-on with large operational datasets to assess current procurement performance and supplier ecosystems
Identify trends, anomalies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for operational improvement
Translate analysis into clear recommendations, building cases for process enhancement, automation, and emerging technology adoption
Influence stakeholders on operational decisions, articulating proposals confidently and constructively
Maintain strong regional relationships while supporting global procurement objectives and operational consistency
Support ongoing improvement initiatives, owning insight from analysis through to implementation and stakeholder alignment
Experience and skills
Experience in procurement analytics, procurement operations, or data-led supply chain roles
Experience within financial services
Advanced Excel skills and a strong foundation in data analysis
Exposure to automation tools, workflow improvement, or AI-enabled solutions
A practical, hands-on approach to data interrogation, reporting, and process efficiency
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior audiences
Confidence to present and defend self-generated insight and recommendations
Ability to work autonomously while supporting cross-functional teams and regional operations
A successful hire will be someone who brings a data-driven mindset into procurement operations, enjoys solving operational challenges, and can deliver insight with the credibility to shape decisions at a senior level. This is a role for someone who wants ownership, impact, and influence, without being tied to traditional category sourcing.
