Altum Consulting are excited to be supporting a high-growth SME within the hospitality sector to secure a Group Financial Controller. Our client is private equity backed and has over 15 iconic locations across the UK and Europe with plans to expand significantly over the next 3-5 years.

The role will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the group, manage a team of 6 and have a key focus on creating and developing a "fit for purpose" control environment as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities,

• Development and maintenance of internal controls as the business expands.
• Ensure collaboration with the wider business
• Delivery of month end close and management accounts in timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal reporting requirements.
• Administration and maintenance of core accounting system, property management system and PO system. Work with the data team to evolve systems and data management.
• Develop finance process for new activities and business ventures including expansion into new territories.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including, banks, HMRC, and professional advisers and private equity owners.
• Oversight of the teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of recording transactions, prompt payment of suppliers and collection of all income.
• Reviewing and authorising all supplier payments.
• Cash and working capital management and reporting.
• Team management, training and development of team of 6

Required Skill-set,

• Educated to degree level
• Full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) with significant years PQE
• Experience working within the hospitality sector, or at least a multi-site business
• Experience leading and developing a team
• A self-starter attitude
• Ideally some experience working within a PE or VC backed business (desired but not essential)
